UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM
BS (Software Engineering)
Overview
The BS (Software Engineering) program focuses on the systematic design, development, testing, and maintenance of large-scale software systems, building core programming foundations before emphasizing software project management and quality assurance. Following HEC's Computing curriculum, the program combines rigorous coursework with team-based software projects across its eight-semester structure, culminating in a Final Year Project. Software Engineering students at MUST work in structured project teams throughout the degree, simulating real software development workflows rather than working on individual assignments alone. This emphasis on collaborative, process-driven software development — alongside quality assurance and project management training — prepares graduates for roles spanning the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment.
