UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM
BS (Medical Lab Technology)
Overview
The BS (Medical Lab Technology) program trains students in clinical laboratory sciences — hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, and histopathology — building the technical competence needed to perform and interpret diagnostic laboratory testing. Aligned with HEC Allied Health Sciences standards, the curriculum combines rigorous theoretical coursework with hands-on laboratory training and hospital-based clinical placements. MUST's medical lab technology students train in dedicated diagnostic laboratories before rotating through affiliated hospital pathology and diagnostic labs, gaining direct experience with the equipment and protocols used in real clinical testing. This hands-on emphasis prepares graduates for immediate roles in hospital laboratories, blood banks, and pharmaceutical quality-control settings.
