FACULTY
Faculty of Sciences
Overview of Faculty
The Faculty of Sciences is the broadest and most clinically grounded of the University's faculties, bringing together the School of Allied Health Sciences, the School of Nursing, the School of Pharmacy and Multan College of Veterinary Sciences. Its programmes lead directly into professional practice. Allied Health Sciences spans the Doctor of Physical Therapy alongside degrees in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Human Nutrition & Dietetics, Optometry, Anesthesia Technology, Cardiac Perfusion, Operation Theater Technology and Aesthetic & Cosmetology. The School of Nursing offers the BS and MS in Nursing together with the Lady Health Visitor diploma; the School of Pharmacy the PharmD and M.Phil degrees in Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics; and Multan College of Veterinary Sciences the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Health education cannot be delivered from a lecture hall alone. Teaching here is built around supervised clinical and laboratory practice, with curricula meeting Higher Education Commission requirements and the standards of the relevant professional councils. The purpose is regional as much as academic: the hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, pharmacies, community health services and livestock economy of Southern Punjab need practitioners trained to a national standard, and this Faculty prepares them close to the communities they will serve.
