FACULTY
Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences
Overview of Faculty
The Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences brings together the School of Arts & Social Sciences, the School of Psychology and the School of Law — disciplines concerned with how people think, how societies are governed, and how both are understood and communicated. The School of Psychology offers the BS and MS in Psychology alongside advanced diplomas in Clinical Psychology and Speech Therapy, fields in which qualified practitioners remain scarce across the region. The School of Law offers the LLB, and the School of Arts & Social Sciences the BS in Digital Media, reflecting how much of public life is now conducted through media that must be produced skilfully and read critically. These are disciplines in which judgement matters more than recall, and they are taught accordingly — through supervised practice, structured argument and written work rather than examination alone. Programmes meet Higher Education Commission requirements and, where professional practice follows, the standards of the relevant regulatory bodies. The Faculty's purpose is to graduate people capable of thinking clearly about difficult questions and acting responsibly on their answers.
